In Guanajuato, women are the right arm of progress, opportunities and the well-being of families, said Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, in the broadcast of Connecting with the People, dedicated to present the progress and results of the programs of the Secretary of the New Beginning.

Accompanied by the Secretary of the New Beginning, Rosario Corona Amador; the State Director of YouthBuild Mexico in Guanajuato, Genoveva de Anda Sanchez; the Operational Director of Amigos Unidos por Max, Nhynna Elizalde Hernandez; and Ana Luisa Cruz Herrera, beneficiary of Tarjeta Rosa, the Governor highlighted that this Administration works with closeness, honesty and results to place women and families at the center of decisions.

“This administration, which for the first time is formed by equal numbers of men and women, is thinking about women, their needs, and their daily challenges. Today we are putting them at the center, because for us they are a priority,” said Governor Libia Dennise.

Regarding the Pink Card, the largest social support program for women in Guanajuato’s history, it was informed that during the first period more than 645,000 women registered, and with the extraordinary period that began on July 1, coverage of 690,000 beneficiaries will be reached.

The Secretary of the New Beginning reported that there are still about 4,000 spaces available for mothers between the ages of 25 and 45, who can register through the Pink Card application.

Women who registered in July, as well as those who rescheduled their card delivery, must attend their appointment between August 10 and 21. Those who receive their card during this phase will receive the full 6,000 pesos in November.

Rosario Corona noted that the program not only includes financial support, but also additional free services, such as medical and psychological care, nutritional and legal advice, dental cleaning, blood chemistry, roadside assistance, towing, locksmith services, home care, and support for funeral expenses.

So far, the beneficiaries have used more than 4,000 of these additional services, particularly roadside assistance during the recent rains.

The Secretary explained that 6,000 checks will be distributed to women whose deposits were rejected due to problems with their bank accounts. Of these, approximately 4,000 have already been delivered, and personalized assistance continues to ensure that no beneficiary is left without receiving their support.

Ana Luisa Cruz shared that the registration and delivery process was quick and easy, and that she received friendly treatment from the staff. She added that for many women, it represents their first opportunity to access government support.

“Women are always looking for ways to make ends meet and stretch their money. This support also represents that little push to get ahead and, after meeting the family’s needs, be able to treat ourselves,” the Governor said.

The results of the first 2026 call for Tocando Corazones were also presented, a strategy that strengthens the work of Civil Society Organizations and Organized Groups to address priority causes in the 46 municipalities.

In this first stage, 142 projects were registered, of which 73 were approved, with an investment of over 153 million pesos and an estimated reach of more than 45,000 beneficiaries. In addition, 26 groups are receiving this support for the first time: 17 Civil Society Organizations and nine Organized Groups.

“Touching Hearts is a program that truly reaches the needs of society and addresses sensitive issues. The most important thing is that it’s not just the usual organizations that benefit, but that new groups and causes can also access the resources,” the Governor emphasized.
