The Governor of Guanajuato inaugurates the First 2026 Ordinary Session of the National Conference of Attorneys General, Western Region

In Guanajuato, coordination and institutional collaboration have proven to be the most effective path to work for the peace of our families. Because security and justice are built on cooperation, progress is made by combining capabilities, experiences, and commitment.
“Here, we work as a team through the Operational Intelligence Group. We will not take a step back, we will spare no effort to have a better state,” said the People’s Governor, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
At the opening of the First Ordinary Session 2026 of the National Conference of Attorneys General, Western Region, which was held at the State Attorney General’s Office; Libia Dennise said, “I hope that in each state, there will be the institutional will to join efforts, because when we work together for our states, we also work together for Mexico”.
The Governor added that the administration of justice must be understood from a regional coordination that allows us to better address the reality we are living in our region and in Mexico.
“It is a source of pride that Guanajuato is hosting this First Session, a space where dialogue, coordination, exchange of experiences and building of agreements in the administration of justice will take place,” said Libia.
The Governor noted that to meet the challenges, it is necessary to work from innovation, on new and better practices, in addition to legislative changes to guarantee justice for people.
Libia Dennise praised the work of the State Attorney General’s Office for implementing improvements in its processes and for continuing to innovate.
She added that “in Guanajuato we have a professional, committed team with absolute loyalty to Guanajuato and its families, which is why I am very happy to welcome those who are visiting us from different parts of the Republic; may the agreements that are built here translate into better results for the region and the country.”
The Attorney General of the State, Gerardo Vazquez Alatriste, after welcoming the attendees to this First Session, also noted the importance of collaboration between different institutions to better address the administration of justice.
“The purpose of this event is to strengthen regional coordination, share the best practices, and build agreements to make crime investigations and victim support more effective”, said Vazquez.
