With an investment of 330 million dollars and the generation of more than 7,800 jobs, 27 Mexican investment projects have been completed in Guanajuato during the current State administration.
The governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, promotes synergy between private initiative, society and government for the consolidation of investment projects that provide new job opportunities for Guanajuato citizens regardless of their place of origin.
The head of the Secretary for Sustainable Economic Development (SDES) Ramon Alfaro Gomez said that the competitive advantages of Guanajuato are decisive at the moment of a company’s decision to settle in the State.
Alfaro Gomez added that the continuity of public policies in education, health, Mindfacture, infrastructure, social and economic development, allow for the consolidation of companies until their expansion.
These Mexican companies that have trusted Guanajuato join forces to strengthen the local economy and have installed their operations in the municipalities of:
- Leon, Irapuato, Celaya, Silao, Apaseo el Grande, San Jose Iturbide, Valle de Santiago, Cortazar, Ocampo, San Luis de la Paz, Manuel Doblado and Doctor Mora
With activities in the sectors:
- Automotive-auto parts, leather-footwear-supply, plastic, agro-foods, metalworking, new technologies, textile-clothing and industry in general; their arrival diversifies and complements the value chains of the rest of the States productive activities
All these Mexican companies have to cover a set of variables in which location, economic activity, committed jobs and investment are evaluated, to be considered for an incentive agreement that is validated through the Investment Attraction Commission.
Depending on their level of development and size, State support is considered through incentive schemes or through programs for the development of local businesses.
In addition to the rest of the countries that have decided to come to Guanajuato, the Mexican businessmen who have chosen to invest their capital here are among the main strategic partners for economic development.
The coexistence of different sectors, from different countries allows for an exchange of work culture, as well as technology transfer and a balance in the labor market.
The Government of Guanajuato, through SDES, endorses the commitment to generate strategies that allow for the installation of new capital and the integration of companies into the value chain, thereby promoting the creation of new job opportunities in the different economic sectors and contributing to improve the quality of life of Guanajuatenses.
