Governor launches rehabilitation of La Palma rural road, with a State investment of 5.6 million pesos

The People’s Government is promoting more projects to benefit rural communities in the municipality of Guanajuato, which is why the rehabilitation of the La Palma and Arperos-San Jose de Pinos roads was launched.
During a work tour, the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, first launched the rehabilitation of the rural road of La Palma, with an investment of 5.6 million pesos by the State Government.
A section of approximately 1.08 kilometers, 6 meters wide, with an asphalt concrete surface will be rehabilitated. The project will benefit more than 300 residents of this community.
This project will improve the mobility of agricultural goods and the transportation of people, as well as enhance safety for those who travel this route, said the Governor.
“And just like these actions, more projects are coming to benefit the families of the State Capital,” said Libia Dennise during this event, in which the Secretary of Agriculture, Marisol Suarez Correa, also participated.
Then the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, initiated the rehabilitation of the Arperos–San Jose de Pinos road, a project that will be carried out with 100 percent State resources.
“Our rural roads are where our families, our farmers, and our students travel to get to school. Here moves the hope of many people,” the Governor said.
With an investment of 12’838,978 pesos, through the Secretary of Agriculture, approximately 2.5 kilometers of the Arperos–San Jose de Pinos road will be rehabilitated, benefiting 1,323 people. Additionally, a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was held for the road to Cuestecita de San Juan, where 5’409,882 pesos will be invested to improve 670 meters, benefiting 296 residents.
“We want to continue improving the lives of our communities. These resources are reaching all 46 municipalities; there are no exceptions here, because what matters most to us is working with our people,” said the State Governor.
The Secretary of Agriculture, Marisol Suarez Correa, said that having better roads will allow families to travel more easily, facilitate emergency response, and help producers get their goods to markets.
The Mayor of Guanajuato, Samantha Smith Gutiarrez, thanked the Governor for the full funding of these projects.
On behalf of the families, Janeth Rodriguez, delegate of Arperos, acknowledged the attention given to a request that the communities had been promoting for years and expressed her gratitude that today it is beginning to become a reality.
