Through an investment, rural roads are being improved in Irapuato, while in the City, the Governor inaugurates Fray Juan de Zumarraga Street, with an investment of 23.7 million pesos

The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, delivered the rural road that connects the junction to the community of Lo de Sierra with Santa Rosa Temascatio, in Irapuato.
This project, which involved the construction of an 8.063-kilometer stretch of rural road, required an investment of over 59 million pesos. The State contributed 25 million pesos, and the municipality 34 million pesos.
The Governor, who was with mayor of Irapuato, Lorena Alfaro Garcia, highlighted that this project benefits more than 16,000 residents of 14 rural communities, contributing to their transportation and safety.
This road is part of a strategic rural corridor that strengthens the connectivity of communities such as Lo de Sierra, Ojo de Agua de Bermudez, Las Adjuntas, Santa Rosa Temascatio, Encino del Copal and Estancia del Copal, among other.
During the work tour, the Governor of the People, delivered the rehabilitation of the Fray Juan de Zumarraga street, a project that strengthens mobility, improves security and dignifies the environment of the families who live and travel daily through this area of the city.
“We are working very hard in every corner of Guanajuato and we will continue to promote social works, those that are felt in families and that do change our daily lives,” said Governor Libia Dennise.
The rehabilitation of Fray Juan de Zumarraga Street, in the 8 de Junio neighborhood, represented an investment of 23.7 million pesos, of which 11.3 million were contributed by the People’s Government through the Secretariy of the New Beginning and 12.4 million by Irapuato.
This action directly benefits 375 people, members of 98 families, in addition to thousands of users who use this road daily.
The work included paving 5,183 square meters of roadway over a length of 731 meters. The drinking water and sanitary sewer systems were rehabilitated, stormwater drainage was constructed, street lighting and electrical infrastructure were renewed, and urban landscaping and signage were added.
This project is part of the Beautifying My Neighborhood program, by the New Beginning Secretary, a strategy that promotes social infrastructure projects to recover public spaces, improve basic services and raise the quality of life in neighborhoods and communities, through the combined efforts of the People’s Government and the municipalities.
This is an intervention that improves road safety, accessibility, the provision of public services and the living conditions for families, said Rosario Corona Amador, head of the Secretary of the New Beginning.
