With an investment of more than:
- 3 thousand 300 million dollars
- The commitment to create more than 21 thousand 600 jobs
- 51 national and foreign companies have expanded their operations in Guanajuato
The industrial development that Guanajuato has maintained during the Government of this administration of Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, creates new opportunities for the consolidation of national and foreign corporations that have arrived in Guanajuato.
The head of the Secretary for Sustainable Economic Development -SDES-, Ramon Alfaro Gomez said that these achievements are the result of solid and flexible public policies that provide companies with the conditions for their stay in Guanajuato.
Alfaro Gomez added that the commitment of Guanajuato talent is recognized and represents one of the main factors for the arrival of projects that generate new employment opportunities to improve the quality of life of Guanajuato families.
The companies that have expanded their operations in Guanajuato are located inside and outside the Industrial Corridor in municipalities like:
- Apaseo el Grande, Celaya, Irapuato, Leon, Salamanca, San Jose Iturbide, San Miguel de Allende, Silao and Villagran
This diversity in locations consolidates a regional and balanced economic development of Guanajuato.
These investments have as countries of origin:
- Germany, Austria, Spain, the United States, France, India, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom, increasing the presence of Guanajuato in the world and bringing more world to Guanajuato
The investment projects have gone to sectors like:
- Metal-mechanics, automotive-auto parts, agro-industrial, plastic, new technologies, construction, ceramics and materials
The invesments open opportunities in traditional sectors and others with a higher technological content.
