The Government of Guanajuato and the State Training Institute will have online courses and certifications thanks to an agreement with DELL and edX

Students from public universities in Guanajuato will be able to receive online courses and certifications from universities such as Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), thanks to the signing of an agreement of the Guanajuato Talent Platform with DELL and edX.
Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, which will allow exploring potential opportunities to promote massive courses with validity of edX, a platform based on open source software.
“In Guanajuato we are committed to education through tools and solutions so that everyone has access to more educational opportunities. I thank DELL Technologies and edX with whom we signed a Memorandum of Understanding, to find solutions and promote education”, said the Governor.
“With the signing with edX, higher education students from Guanajuato’s public universities will be able to take online courses and certifications from universities such as Harvard and MIT,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
This will be possible through a multi-year program of the Guanajuato State Government, administered by the Guanajuato State Training Institute in order to create essential skills with variable and cumulative certifications.
The goal of this program is to train and improve the skills of students and employees through high-quality learning experiences in areas such as:
- Closing skills gaps
- Leadership development
- Business agility
- Improved recruitment initiatives
- Workforce retention
- Open Courses and Professional Certificates
- Executive education
- Training Camps
The international cooperation of Guanajuato constitutes an action that favorably affects the solution of problems that affect the communities, by intensifying common efforts to contribute to the development, strengthening and formation of society.
