With the addition of a new Mexicana de Aviación route linking BJX with AIFA, Guanajuato expands its national and international network

The People’s Government continues to strengthen Guanajuato’s air connectivity with the addition of a new Mexicana de Aviacion route that will link the Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) with the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), expanding mobility options for tourists, visitors, and business travelers.
The new route will begin operations on July 27, 2026, and will help consolidate Guanajuato as an increasingly accessible destination, better connected to the country’s main tourist markets.
The People’s Government strengthens Guanajuato’s air connectivity with the new Bajio–AIFA route by Mexicana de Aviacion, a new connection that will contribute to strengthen the mobility of visitors, tourists and business travelers between Guanajuato and the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico.
The route will have six weekly frequencies, operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, offering more transportation alternatives for users.
The opening of this new route complements the actions promoted by the People’s Government to strengthen air connectivity in Guanajuato, facilitating access for national and international visitors to the State’s tourist, cultural, gastronomic, business, and meeting destinations.

- 06:20 h – 07:20 h (Monday to Friday)
- 4:50 p.m. – 5:50 p.m. (Sunday)
- Bajío → AIFA
- 08:00 h – 09:00 h (Monday to Friday)
- 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Sunday)
