Mexico is also celebrated beyond its borders. In September, when the streets shine in green, white, and red and Mexican traditions take on special significance, Guanajuato shows that part of that identity also travels the world: in a sombrero, a boot, a salsa, the flavor of tequila, or a piece of pottery.

In the first half of this year, some of the traditional products such as:
- Hats, boots, mole, pinatas, tequila, mezcal, salsas, tortillas and ceramic decorations, registered more than 658 million dollars in exports
The products and the amounts:
- Boots topped these products, with $303.4 million in exports
- Followed by fresh chilies at $211.9 million
- Tortillas, tacos, and tostadas at $44.8 million
- Guacamole and salsas at $43.3 million
- Sombreros at $34.9 million

Mexican identity is also exported through products that directly evoke Mexican traditions:
- Ceramic decorations reached $12.5 million
- Tequila $ 7.3 million
- Mole $731,000
- Mezcal $80,900
- Pinatas $16,800
The presence of these products extends to various countries, among the main ones are:
- The United States, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Australia, Colombia, Estonia, among other

Tequila, one of Mexico’s most recognizable products worldwide, registered $7.3 million in exports, with the United States, Singapore, and the Netherlands as its main destinations. Mezcal was primarily exported to the United States, Singapore, and Germany.
While in Mexico September is a time to celebrate what defines us, from Guanajuato that identity is also making its way abroad. Every product that crosses a border carries with it a part of the history, the work, and the traditions that distinguish Mexico.

The mission of the People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, seeks to strengthen opportunities for Guanajuato’s talent and productive capacity to find new markets and for products made in the State to continue having an international presence.
Guanajuato celebrates Mexico also through its exports, products born from our traditions that today find a place on tables, in homes and markets around the world.
