Guanajuatense MSMEs are connected with Chedraui

More than 30 supplier companies participated in a business networking event with Chedraui to explore new business opportunities

In 2026 Industrial Connection strategy has linked 570 Guanajuato companies with 20 purchasing companies

The Secretary of Economy continues to strengthen the competitiveness of Guanajuato’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) through the Industrial Connection strategy, and on this occasion it generated a space for commercial linkage between local supplier companies and executives of Chedraui, one of the most important self-service chains in the country.

Under the leadership of the People’s Governor, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, Guanajuato is promoting strategies that bring new business opportunities to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, strengthening their ability to compete, grow and reach new markets.

Participating on this working day were 34 companies from the municipalities of:

• Leon, Salamanca, Celaya, Romita, San Jose Iturbide, Juventino Rosas, Purisima del Rincon and Irapuato

The companies belong to sectors such as:

• Processed foods, bakery, snacks, sauces and condiments, coffee, canned foods and artisanal sweets, meat products, food supplements, functional foods, beverages and pet products

The participants had the opportunity to present their commercial offer, production capacities and value propositions to company representatives.

Of the participants, 24 companies have the Marca Guanajuato emblem, a recognition that accredits the quality, identity and competitiveness of the products and services developed by local companies.

Conexion Industrial has established itself as a strategic tool to strengthen the business ecosystem of Guanajuato, allowing SMEs to expand their network of contacts, identify new business opportunities and strengthen their integration into supply chains and marketing channels of national scope.

Through these networking opportunities, Guanajuatense companies have the opportunity to bring their products closer to leading companies in different economic sectors, generating opportunities that promote their growth, professionalization and commercial expansion.

So far in 2016, the Industrial Connection strategy has held 14 business matchmaking events, bringing together 570 supplier companies, including 157 women-led businesses, and 20 leading companies. This effort has generated business expectations exceeding 314 million pesos, reflecting the business sector’s trust in a model that strengthens the local economy by creating collaborative networks and new growth opportunities.

The Secretary of Economy will continue to promote linkage mechanisms that bring the State’s companies closer to increasingly competitive markets, strengthening local supply, marketing and the growth of MSMEs as a fundamental engine of economic development in Guanajuato.
