Expansion of the Metropolitan Park of Leon begins

Governor announces 30 million pesos more to improve the premises in this park

The State Governor, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, and the Mayor, Alejandra Gutierrez Campos, started the expansion works of the northern area of ​​the Leon Metropolitan Park, which benefits more than 60 thousand people, mainly from the area of ​​Los Castillos and Rivera de La Presa.

“It is a pleasure to be in the Metropolitan Park of Leon, and even more so to launch these works that are of great importance for the inhabitants of this municipality,” said the Governor. Rodríguez Vallejo recognized the work of the Mayor for promoting the opening of more metropolitan parks in Leon.

The Governor announced that he will allocate another 30 million pesos for the remodeling of the Leon Metropolitan Park, which is a protected natural area, which is the pride of all Guanajuatenses.

“We are promoting more works for the healthy coexistence of people, and what is starting today is proof of this. Our recognition to the Municipality for carrying out actions that improve the quality of life of the people of Leon”, he said.

The expansion of the northern area of ​​the Metropolitan Park:

• Construction of a new access
• Ticket offices
• Esplanade
• Extension of the cycle route
• Construction of a walkway
• Public lighting, parking, palapas, parking
• Remodeling of the access on Amazonas Avenue

The expansion seeks to create a new access and incorporation of a new area in the northern part of the park, so that this venue can host a greater number of massive and international events, as well as extend the length of the cycle path.

Mayor of Leon, Alejandra Gutierrez, thanked the Governor for the support for the expansion of the northern area of ​​this park, which includes 22 hectares of which 11 were donated by the State.
