The International Balloon Festival 2020 announced for this year “Direct, the First Hot Air Balloon Festival at Your Home”, an event that “you will be able to enjoy safely wherever you are”.
Protecting the public
The Organization of the FIG 2020 as well as the State and Municipality Government, announced this type of festival without public in the Festival Grounds to care for the health and safety of people in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic.
A unique festival
“Direct” is a unique festival in the world, it will be online and for free, it will let as it occurs on each November of each year, the eyes of the world to be shed on Leon, Guanajuato, already a referral in the world as a place for Hot Air Ballons.
The Direct Festival will be held from November 13th to the 16th and the live broadcast will start at 6:30 am, and fans will be able to watch as the ballons are being filled with hot air and their take off.
The Magic Nights
At night starting at 7 pm there will be live broadcasts of the Magic Nights, with ballons that will come from Rusia, Canada, USA, Lithuania, France, Brazil, Spain and Mexico.
There will be 11 main ballon figures; the Matrioshka, the Owl, Penguin Sherlock Holmes, Little Dog, Jupiterman, Baby Montster, My Deerling, The Gallina Pintadita, Bola de Basquete, Little Ball Ball and Sponge Bob Squarepants.

With the broadcast, the energy of the FIG will let all of us be more united than ever in these difficult times of pandemic in the world.
There will be 100 ballons in the festival as it is impossible to imagine a November with no Balloon Festival, thus the Direct Festival, without public but for free at home.
There are surprises
The balloons will go across the sky over our City and it will reaffirm Leon and Guanajuato as the makers of great events, also other surprises are yet to be presented for the Festival.
