The Mayor of Purisima del Rincon, Roberto Garcia Urbano, announced that permanent monitoring will be provided for the Mexico-Guadalajara train project

“We had a follow-up meeting regarding the proposed path for the Mexico-Guadalajara train project. This was the agreement reached, which allowed us to permanently establish a dialogue board between the Federal Government, the State, the Municipality, and local farmers,” said Roberto Garcia Urbano, Mayor of Purisima del Rincon.
“During this meeting, federal officials said that the route of the train has not yet been finalized,” the Mayor said.
“Both the Municipality and the producers expressed that there is no opposition to the train itself; we simply requested that the route be moved to another area where it will not cause significant disruption”, Garcia Urbano stated.
“The Secretary of Government chaired the meeting and requested that the concerns and questions of the farmers be heard to analyze a potential route change,” shared Roberto Garcia Urbano, adding that these are the current developments from these follow-up meetings.
