One week before the start of the 54th International Cervantino Festival (FIC), Guanajuato continues to showcase the diversity and vibrancy of its cultural offer, with performing arts, music performances, and museum exhibitions that invite the public to engage with art and heritage.

In the first count, museums affiliated with the Secretary of Culture of the State Government and
official exhibitions held in collaboration with the Ministry registered 15,856 visitors.

Of this number, 3,469 were at museums affiliated with the Secretary and 12,387 at other museums with official exhibitions in collaboration with the institution.
Meanwhile, the attendance figures for Guanajuato’s artistic activities show 1,627 attendees at events with available registration, including contemporary dance, community theater, and music performances.

These results demonstrate a Cervantino experience that transcends the stage and extends to museums and cultural spaces, where residents and visitors find diverse ways to engage with artistic creation, history, and heritage.
The Secretary of Culture, Lizeth Galvan Cortes, is promoting state participation that recognizes the talent of the municipalities, fosters encounters between artists and audiences, and strengthens Guanajuato’s presence as a territory of creation and cultural diversity.
