The Municipal President led the civic ceremony and traditional Call before a packed plaza overflowing with patriotic fervor on the night of the “Grito de Independencia” in Purisima del Rincon.

In an atmosphere rich with color and national pride, thousands gathered in Purisima del Rincon central square to commemorate the 216th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence movement, reaffirming the strong sense of community and identity that defines the municipality.
Well before 8:00 PM, local families dressed in vibrant patriotic colors began assembling in the city center.
To the rhythm of traditional music performed by Banda Cruzitos and a show by the Anayansin Folkloric Ballet from the local Cultural Center, attendees enjoyed traditional snacks and a lively public fair leading up to the solemn civic event.
The climax of the evening arrived as Mayor of Purisima del Rincon, Roberto Garcia Urbano, with City Council members and DIF President Enriqueta Martinez Lopez, received the National Flag. With immense pride and fervor, they proclaimed the legendary call: “Viva Mexico!”
The Mayor rang the ceremonial bell six times while holding the sacred banner, invoking the memory of the national heroes with traditional calls that ignited the crowd enthusiasm.
In unison, the plaza roared with the traditional call, giving way to cheers and a dramatic fireworks display that illuminated the historic center sky. The celebration carried late into the night with a live performance by Mariachi Los Jinetes de Irapuato.
