“In Guanajuato, the People’s Government is committed to strengthen the automotive industry, the engine that drives the development of our State”, said Jorge Daniel Jimenez Lona, Secretary of Government.

Representing the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Secretary of Government inaugurated the thirteenth edition of the Automotive Supply Forum, a space that for 2 days will provide Guanajuatense companies with an opportunity to strengthen their presence in the automotive supply sector, through agreements with national and international buyers, to access new markets and supply chains and multiply employment opportunities for Guanajuatense families.

Jorge Jimenez Lona said that, for more than three decades, the best companies in Mexico and the world have found in Guanajuato the talent, conditions, and infrastructure necessary to compete and succeed in international markets. From this collaboration of society, businesses, and government, one of the most dynamic automotive clusters in North America was built.

“Today, despite international turbulence and difficulties, we reaffirm our shared commitment to innovation, work, and the talent that Guanajuato projects to the world. Throughout its history, this forum has brought together more than 74,000 attendees, in addition to generating $520 million in sales and 32,000 connections between companies, education institutions, and organizations, to which we will add those generated in this new edition,” he said.

Jimenez noted that last year alone, more than 12,500 attendees participated, including 700 buyers and 2,500 suppliers, generating business opportunities worth over $240 million. This year, the event boasts 13,500 square meters of exhibit space and 460 booths, bringing together 3,000 suppliers and 800 buyers from more than 150 companies.

All participants will take part in workshops, business meetings, specialized conferences, networking opportunities, strategic sourcing sessions, and the T-Summit Challenge. This challenge tests students and faculty from higher education institutions by developing specialized technical skills in autonomous mobile robots, enabling them to successfully address real-world industry challenges.

“This sector is a key player in Guanajuato’s present; in the last 34 years, investments from automotive companies have been received for more than 26 billion dollars, generating more than 175,000 jobs and, in 2025 alone, allowing automotive exports to reach more than 27.841 billion dollars; these are numbers that reflect the shared success of workers, companies and society,” said the Secretary of Government.
