In order to strengthen economic development, promote job training and expand training opportunities for the population, the State Institute of Training (IECA) signed collaboration agreements with San Felipe and Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence, consolidating a joint work strategy that will allow bringing training programs, certification of job skills and linkage actions in accordance with the needs of each region.

These actions are part of the vision of the People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, who has promoted coordinated work between state agencies and municipal governments to strengthen the talent of Guanajuatenses, boost employability, and contribute to the State’s economic development.

The general director of IECA, Salomon Ceballos Ochoa, highlighted that training represents one of the most effective tools to transform people’s lives and strengthen the competitiveness of municipalities.

“On the other hand, training solves people’s problems for years or even for their entire lives, and it can even generate businesses that last from one generation to the next. That’s why it’s so important that we, as an agency, as a State government, as a municipal government, create these opportunities for people. Here with civil protection, they are professionalizing themselves to offer better service to the public,” said Salomon Ceballos Ochoa, general director of IECA.

“I am very proud to say that civil protection is being incorporated into the training. The truth is that civil protection is one of the most important areas of the administration, and what better for us than to have them well trained, always doing their best for the families, always arriving on time to save the lives of the people of San Felipe,” said the mayor of San Felipe, Sarai Lepe Monjaraz.

In Dolores Hidalgo, the General Director of IECA and the city council secretary, Maria Teresa Pena Gutierrez, representing the mayor, Adrian Hernandez Alejandri, signed a collaboration agreement to establish the foundations for developing training programs, certification of job skills, technical advice, specialized training, and networking activities aimed at entrepreneurs, companies, workers, job seekers, education institutions, and public servants.

“To begin, strengthen, or continue building not only a profession or a trade but a future for the families of our municipality, we believe that investing in the preparation of people is investing in the future of our community,” said Pena Gutierrez.

The IECA has an integrated infrastructure consisting of 31 campuses, six Innovation Centers and six Technological Hubs, in addition to a training model with 80 percent practice and 20 percent theory, which makes it posible to offer relevant and quality training in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato.
