Toyota reaffirms its operations in Guanajuato

The People’s Government reports that the announcement made by Toyota Motor Corporation regarding a $3.6 billion investment to expand its operations in San Antonio, Texas, does not represent any impact on the operations that the company maintains at its plant in Guanajuato.

The automaker confirmed that the plant in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato, will continue its production, thus reaffirming its commitment to the State and to productive integration.

Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo has reiterated that Guanajuato maintains the competitiveness, certainty, and necessary trust to attract long-term investments. The coordinated efforts of the government and the private sector continue to strengthen a favorable environment for economic growth, job creation, and the State’s industrial development.

According to information released by the company, the new facility in Texas will begin operations around 2030.

Toyota’s continued presence in Guanajuato reaffirms the State’s strategic importance within the automotive industry, given its infrastructure, specialized talent, logistics capacity, and supply ecosystem.

This plant represents one of the most important investments in the automotive sector in Guanajuato and is part of a highly integrated value chain that contributes to strengthening regional competitiveness and the economic development of the State.

Toyota reaffirms its trust in Guanajuato, with an accumulated investment of 2.314 billion dollars and the generation of 3,027 direct jobs.

The People’s Government, through the Secretary of Economy, maintains constant communication with companies operating in Guanajuato to support their growth processes, provide certainty for investment, and continue promoting conditions that attract new productive projects, strengthen supply chains, and generate more opportunities for Guanajuatense families.

With these actions, Guanajuato consolidates its leadership as one of the main destinations for automotive investment in Mexico and reaffirms its strategic role in the advanced manufacturing sector.
