The Innovation Institute announced the evolution of the Entrepreneurship Houses towards the “CercanIA Points” model within the commemoration of April 21, World Creativity and Innovation Day.
The CercanIA Points are a strategic step to transform training centers into proximity nodes focused on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and the generation of community solutions.
During the official ceremony held at the Leon Campus of the University of Guanajuato, Juan Antonio Reus Montano, Director General of the Innovation Institute, emphasized that this evolution aims to generate a greater social impact under the vision of the Governor of the People, through the strategy Guanajuato Digital.
“The CercanIA Points have a more dynamic approach, closely aligned with the current needs of citizens, while maintaining free access and inclusion,” said Reus.
The model Alliance for Innovation has been consolidated thanks to close collaboration with key allies that allow knowledge to reach every corner of the State:
- Strategic Sectors: The active participation of CICEG and the University of Guanajuato stands out, fundamental institutions in linking talent with industry and academia
- Municipal Strength: The network currently operates successfully thanks to the commitment of the municipalities of Leon, Silao, Guanajuato, Irapuato and Celaya, which facilitate these meeting spaces for people
Results that transform ideas into the future. Since its creation, this model has proven to be a key tool for integration into the digital economy:
- Reach: More than 18,000 people have been served through these spaces
- Recent Impact: In 2025, 5,695 beneficiaries were served at the current locations
- Training Pathway: Citizens gain access to knowledge in key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Digital Design and the Internet of Things
Opportunities with Microsoft. As part of this global celebration, the offer of 100,000 grants for Microsoft’s Generative Artificial Intelligence Training Program was highlighted , facilitating access to technology for families, merchants, teachers, and professionals.
