Sector 505 of Primary Education, belonging to Region 1 of the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato -SEG-, has taken an exciting step towards the future with the start of a Robotics Workshop, with the innovating use of the Arduino and LEGO platforms.

This event brought together educators from rural and urban schools that have autonomously adopted technology, reflecting an exceptional commitment to educational evolution in their communities. In this space, the passion for learning and technological exploration merged to transform classrooms into dynamic and cutting-edge environments.

The participants are teachers of primary schools of Dolores Hidalgo, San Miguel de Allende and San Felipe.

Alejandra Salazar Hernandez, education leader of Sector 505, said that she has witnessed contagious enthusiasm when presenting this workshop as a unique opportunity to empower teachers with the skills necessary to face the challenges of the 21st century.

“By designing the workshop in three sessions, we sought a comprehensive approach that ranges from basic fundamentals to mastery of robotics. In the sector, we are committed to the professional development of our educators to reflect a proactive vision of education, where innovation and critical thinking are fundamental pillars for the success of girls and boys in an increasingly technological world”, said teacher Alejandra Salazar.

Gerardo Dondiego Ramirez, a teacher recognized for his passion and dedication to innovative teaching, led the workshop with a fervent commitment to the comprehensive development of students through technology. By inaugurating the training day, teacher Gerardo established a stimulating environment that encouraged creativity and critical thinking among the participants.

Teachers participating recognized that the workshop is a unique opportunity to expand their skills and revitalize their education approach. They agreed that the inclusion of digital skills will drive meaningful and relevant learning and will also prepare their students to face the challenges of the future with trust and competence.

In upcoming sessions, teachers will dive deeper into robotics, exploring the use of Arduino and LEGO to develop innovative projects that inspire their students and transcend the boundaries of the classroom.

For the SEG, this workshop represents more than just training; it is a testament to Sector 505’s commitment to educational excellence and preparing our students for a future that is full of opportunity.
