As part of the strategy to strengthen the productive and social fabric in the most vulnerable areas, the People’s Government, through the Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato (Financial and Support Fund You Can Guanajuato), carried out the delivery of economic support of the “We Believe in You” program in the municipalities of Coroneo, Tarandacuao, Jerecuaro and Acambaro.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, head of the State agency, said during this work tour of the South Eastern region of the State that these resources allow beneficiaries to directly integrate working capital or supplies into their activities to offer more and better services in their businesses.

“Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo has asked us to break down the geographic and economic barriers that limit our communities. By delivering these non-refundable grants of 7,000 pesos directly to your communities, we are injecting the necessary capital for now, so that local talent can become a stable source of income,” said Ivon.

“In the People’s Government, we believe that this support is a tool of social justice turned into an opportunity, so that those who work the hardest in rural areas can get ahead,” said the Official.

The Director General pointed out that the goal is to provide immediate liquidity to small merchants, artisans and local entrepreneurs, among others, so that they can consolidate projects that generate daily sustenance in their own localities by taking advantage of their talent.

Ivette Guadalupe Campos Sanchez, a resident of Tarandacuao, dedicates herself to the production of clothing accessories and others in plastic, and together with one of her brothers, who has a disability, they work in order to get ahead.

“We are receiving support of 7,000 pesos to buy more material, some supplies or materials needed to make keychains, plastic frames that this project requires, and they are giving us the boost today,” said Ivette.

Another story of overcoming adversity is that of Daniela Arriola, who sells clothing. She lives in the municipality of Jerecuaro. Her life took a drastic turn, but today she thrives for her two children, ages 7 and 3.

She received the non-refundable “We Believe in You” support to start or grow her business after finding herself in a situation of economic vulnerability due to the death of her husband who had been working in the United States for a couple of years.

“After that, the hardest part was when I asked myself: how to start? What am I going to do? And so I decided to keep going. I had started selling clothes when he was gone, I didn’t stop, because I had no other option. I also think it was the best thing, since that way I can spend time with my children,” said Daniela.

With this delivery, the State reaffirms its commitment and support to ensure that opportunities for growth and development reach the families who need it most and become an engine of the regional economy.
