Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, swore in the 2026-2027 Board of Directors of the Association of Industrial Supplier Companies of Mexico (APIMEX).

For Guanajuato, APIMEX is a key ally, the State Governor said, as it is a national benchmark State in manufacturing and export, particularly in the footwear and leather goods industry, where the supply chain plays a fundamental role.

“This industry is a pillar of the competitiveness of the State of Guanajuato, that is why, for the Government of the People, APIMEX not only brings together companies, it brings together a shared purpose, uniting the vision of the body, footwear, automotive, fashion, textile, and advanced manufacturing sectors,” said Libia Dennise.

The new Council will be chaired by Mauricio Ruiz Campos, who assumes this responsibility replacing Fernando Padilla, in an institutional move that gives continuity to the work of the organization.

Mauricio Ruiz Campos is a businessman with a record in the supplier sector, with experience in the development of production chains and active participation in trade association life, which allows him to know the challenges and opportunities of the industry firsthand.

The 2026-2027 Board of Directors is made up of profiles specialized in strategic areas such as innovation, fashion, market diversification, applied intelligence and strengthening of the business ecosystem.

Among the main lines of work of the Council, which from today is chaired by Mauricio Ruiz Campos, are:

  • Promotion of exports and the internationalization of local suppliers
  • Incorporation of innovation and specialized training in the industry (model 5.0)
  • Strengthening of the fashion sector as an economic engine
  • Diversification towards new markets and sectors
  • Use of applied intelligence for business decision-making

These priorities align with the vision of the People’s Government, which has placed economic development with a human face at its core. This administration has focused on training, connecting with international markets, promoting innovation, and supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), many of which are suppliers.
