Governor of Guanajuato presented the conference “Meeting of the Allies”, as part of the Month of Women

“In Guanajuato, women are allies, and we do not take a step back; we continue walking and moving forward together,” said by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.

The Governor presented the conference “Meeting of the Allies” before more than 1,000 women gathered at the Convention Center, as part of the activities of the Government of the People in the Month of Women.

“Women are here to stay, no one can stop us now,” said Libia Dennise, who shared the experiences and challenges she has faced to become the first female Governor in 200 years of Guanajuato’s history.

She recalled the legacy of the women who have shaped the history of our State, heroines who have been an example so that today the women of Guanajuato are achieving their dreams.

Libia said that the People’s Government is an ally of women, which is why there is the Allies Strategy that has 27 support programs, in areas such as health, education and legal advice, among other.

This conference, organized by the Women’s Secretary led by Itzel Balderas Hernandez, was attended by Guanajuatenses from different sectors of the State, and from various municipalities.

The Governor noted that through the Allies Strategy, more than 260,000 women were benefited last year.

The Governor noted the availability of the Pink Card, which, in addition to providing financial assistance to cover expenses, offers numerous other benefits such as medical care, support for household services, funeral assistance, roadside assistance, and much more. “Last year, we provided assistance to 679,000 mothers”.

Libia noted that for the first time there is a budget with a Gender Perspective, with which Guanajuato obtained First Place Nationally in this Index, which means that public money is invested where it is most needed to close gaps.

“Together we will continue moving forward; the moment has chosen us, and the time to change things is now. There is an army of allies, and we will not take a step back. Guanajuato has the color of women,” the Governor emphasized.
