Sound finances and 61.8% progress in the Government Program highlight the Second Report of Purisima del Rincon

Upon presenting the Second Government Report corresponding to the 2024–2027 Municipal Administration, Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano maintained that the figures presented are backed by transparent indicators and verifiable results.

“What has been built is not erased, what remains pending is not hidden, and work continues on what is still needed,” he affirmed under the premise that Purisima del Rincon Transcends Through Its People.

Among the attendees were the Secretary of Government, Jorge Jimenez Lona; the Secretary of Public Works, Juan Pablo Perez; Local Representative, Noemi Marquez; Magistrate, Cristhian Cruz; and District Civil Judge Daniela del Rocio Franco Gordillo, as well as members of the Purisima del Rincon City Council.

The civic day comprised two key moments:

• In the morning, the Solemn Session of the City Council was held in the courtyards of the City Hall with representatives of the State Powers
• In the afternoon, a direct meeting with citizens was held to present the works, services, and testimonies of the beneficiary families

Garcia Urbano reported that the Government Program shows an overall progress of 61.86% across 45 strategic programs, aiming to consolidate all objectives by 2027. Garcia invited to community reflection: “Where would Purisima del Rincon be today if recent years had been left to indifference or simulation?”, emphasizing that infrastructure and services are achieved through budgetary discipline and planning.

Representing Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, Secretary of Government Jorge Jimenez Lona reaffirmed State support and noted that, since the beginning of the current administration, Guanajuato has invested over 288 million pesos in public works in Purisima del Rincon.

Key results by area:

Education: An investment of 1.4 million pesos in academic, the young, and sports scholarships benefiting 1,674 students, alongside an additional fund of 350 thousand pesos under a matching “peso for peso” scheme with the State. The illiteracy rate dropped to 3.8%, earning the international distinction of the UNESCO White Flag. Furthermore, the start of the Margarita Maza de Juarez National High School at the Tec Purisima facilities was confirmed for September 28th

Public works and connectivity: An investment of 146.5 million pesos in interventions across 21 roadways and the rehabilitation of 9 strategic streets, adding 1.97 kilometers to the municipal connectivity network

Water and basic services: Investment of over 33.6 million pesos in hydraulic infrastructure

Social development and housing: Delivery of 775 solar water heaters, 690 water tanks, and basic equipment for 759 vulnerable families, along with electrical grid expansions

Connected communities: Installation of solar panels and free internet access points in La Descubridora, San Angel, El Tecolote, La Trinidad, and Rancho Seco for medical emergencies and school procedures

Sustainability and environment: Planting of more than 3,000 trees and 800 plants, consolidating Purisima del Rincon’s certification as a Tree City of the World by the FAO

Economic development and empowerment of women: Support for more than 571 micro-entrepreneurs through Marca Guanajuato and COFOCE, as well as technical training workshops (electricity, plumbing, mechanics, and baking) focused on female self-employment

“Listening with temperance and respect does not mean weakness; engaging in dialogue is not relinquishing government. Pretending that nothing is missing would be arrogant, but dismissing what has been built would be untrue,” concluded Garcia Urbano.
