Helvex bets and invests in Guanajuato

Governor inaugurates Helvex’s High Technology Materials Plant in Apaseo el Grande. The new premises means an investment of 20 million dollars and the generation of 500 direct and indirect Jobs

With this opening, the People’s Government registers a 46 percent advance in the six-year goal of attracting investments

The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, led the inauguration of the High Technology Materials Plant of Grupo Helvex, a strategic investment that strengthens the national industry, promotes innovation and generates new employment opportunities for families in the Bajio region.

The Governor noted that this new plant represents their trust in Guanajuato and in the talent of its people, consolidating the State as a competitive destination for investment and industrial development.

“Today we celebrate much more than the inauguration of a plant. We celebrate the trust that Helvex has in Guanajuato and the opportunity to continue generating jobs that transform lives and open doors to new opportunities for our families,” the Governor said.

The new plant is part of Helvex’s industrial complex in Apaseo el Grande, where since 2010 casting, machining, finishing and assembly processes have been integrated, strengthening the company’s productive capacity and benefiting families in municipalities such as Apaseo el Alto, Celaya, Cortazar, Villagran and Comonfort.

With this expansion, the Mexican company reinforces its import substitution strategy and the development of national supply chains, by manufacturing faucets and accessories from high-tech alloys that offer greater resistance, durability and competitiveness in the global market. 

Jorge Barbara Morfin, President and CEO of Grupo Helvex, emphasized that the new plant is the result of a long-term vision and trust in the productive capacity of the country and the region.

“This high-tech materials plant is much more than an industrial investment; it is a commitment to innovation, to Mexican talent, and to the sustainable future of our country,” said Barbara Morfin.

The executive noted that the company, proudly Mexican, has a presence in 22 countries and that 96 percent of its products and components are manufactured in Mexico, which reaffirms its commitment to the national industry and to the economic development of the communities where it operates.

Barbara said that the opening of this new plant will create 500 additional jobs and strengthen the company’s competitiveness in the international market.

“Our commitment is that economic development will always be accompanied by the progress and well-being of the communities where we operate, and today we demonstrate it with this investment in Guanajuato,” he said.

The Governor reported that the People’s Government’s six-year goal of attracting investment has already reached a 46 percent completion, with 48 projects totaling more than $3.705 billion and the creation of more than 11,000 jobs committed throughout the State.
