Apaseo el Alto/Gto News

The financial institution and support program “Tu Puedes Guanajuato” opened three new direct service centers. These are located in the municipalities of Ocampo, San Felipe, and Apaseo El Alto, in order to bring financing programs closer to more entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community projects.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, director of the Financial Institution, said that Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo’s strategy is for the new modules to allow citizens to manage credit applications without having to travel to other cities, which represents progress in the strategy of decentralizing services.

“With the opening of these Tu Puedes Guanajuato service modules in the municipalities of San Felipe, Ocampo and Apaseo el Alto, we are taking a firm step towards financial inclusion throughout Guanajuato,” said Ivon.

“The People’s Governor, Libia Dennise has entrusted us with ensuring that every person, regardless of whether they live in a rural community or a municipal capital, has direct access to information, advice, and financing to start or strengthen their business,” said Padilla.

Ivon said that, with this action, there are now 44 Tu Puedes Guanajuato service centers in the State, and all of them have trained staff to guide entrepreneurs on requirements and assist in compiling files.

In addition, information is provided on the nine types of credit and support available at Financiera de la Gente, from community-based productive projects to trade and service initiatives.

“At this financial institution, the interest rates are very different from what credit unions and banks offer us. It’s not a grant; we’re not in those times anymore,” emphasized Montserrat Mendoza Cano, the mayor of Apaseo el Alto.

Maria de la Luz Rangel Reyes, member of the Council of Ocampo, representing Mayor Erick Silvano Montemayor Lara, said: “Look, these loans from Tu Puedes Guanajuato offer many benefits. We must take advantage of everything that comes to the municipality, whether it is programs or financing; the interest rates are extremely low.”

“And may it be for the benefit of our merchants, in support of all those entrepreneurs from San Felipe and so that the majority of our community, our society, realizes that the State Government has these support programs,” said Otoniel Ortiz Tovar, secretary of the San Felipe city council.
