Irapuato will once again have soccer at home with the rehabilitation of the “Sergio Leon Chavez” Soccer Stadium in Irapuato, as announced at a press conference by the Secretary of Social and Human Development, Libya Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
“We are proud to be able to announce, on behalf of the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, the return of Trinca Fresera to Irapuato”, said the Secretary.
“We are very happy that this process that we started a few months ago, today paid off and we can be reunited at this table, with the ones who have promoted this sports project,” said Libia.
The Secretary announced the signing of the usufruct agreement for the Stadium with which the State will be allowed to intervene so that the ‘Sergio Leon Chavez’ Stadium is in optimal structural conditions for this new stage of “fresero” soccer.
“A lot of success in this new stage for the ‘trinca fresera’, and congratulations to the Guanajuato fans for this achievement,” said Libia Dennise.
The Director of the Guanajuato State Sports Commission –CODE- Marco Heroldo Gaxiola Romo, explained that the State Government monitors the support to professional teams, and with the City Authorities, results are achieved in a joint effort.
“This is the fourth professional soccer team that we will have here, in Guanajuato. It is a commitment of our government to support these projects for all that it means and all that it represents for society in each of its territories”, said Gaxiola.
“We are training and we are in preseason. We have had friendly matches and the team is getting stronger, we are at 80% of the squad, we are super excited about all this great project”, said Tania Lara President of the Deportivo Irapuato team.
“This is materialized with the sum of all. I predict great success for this project that Healthy People is leading today, an Irapuatense company committed to sports”, said Mayor of Irapuato, Lorena del Carmen Alfaro Garcia.
