The Secretary of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility of Guanajuato, confirmed that by the end of April the work of the Second Stage of the Modernization of the Malecon del Rio will begin, a work that will expedite the movement of more than 32 thousand users who circulate daily on this road, one of the main roads in Leon.
This Thursday, April 13, the SICOM Judgment Committee awarded the work to the company Constructora LAN, SA de CV, which will be in charge of the construction, that should be made within a period of 270 calendar days; the investment is for 113.9 million pesos of state resources.
Tarcisio Rodríguez Martínez, Secretary of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility, said that, after the ruling, it will be a matter of two weeks for the work to begin, since the contractor must comply with all the administrative procedures with the state agency, to formalize the execution contract.
The state official recalled that the start of this work was announced by the State Governor, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, on March 27, when the first stage of the modernization of the Malecon del Rio was opened to circulation.
Rodriguez Martinez explained that there are two sections that will be modernized:
- The first one begins at Amado Nervo street and ends at Progreso street
- The second goes from Jardineros street to Wagner street
It is a total of 1 thousand 836 meters of roads that will be improved.
The head of SICOM said that this construction is relevant for the mobility of the city, since with the rehabilitation of the pavement and operation of two lanes, as well as the improvement of ramps to connect to the lower road of the Malecon del Rio, increases safety on the road, allowing greater crossing distances to change from the upper body to the lower body and vice versa, also favoring travel times.
He pointed out that the intervention will be with hydraulic concrete, in the body of circulation that goes in the north-south direction in the sections indicated above.
