On the occasion of World Health Day, the Guanajuato Health System offers a range of medical services to the entire population that does not have rights such as IMSS or ISSSTE.
In 12 months, the Gto Health System has provided 92,166 nutrition consultations to overweight infants and children under 10 years of age, and more than 76,000 obesity consultations.
Also the certification of 778 work environments was achieved as physically healthy as well as healthy as a food place.
The Secretary of Health, Daniel Díaz Martínez said that the most important and irreplaceable good to which all human beings have the right is health.
In Guanajuato, the Health Centers or UMAPS and CAISES, are the evidence that demonstrates a primary health care approach, and represent the most effective way of bringing health and well-being services closer to people, and they have a coverage in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato.
Diaz added that Guanajuato has a transversal program of healthy municipalities, where the governments themselves conduct healthy public policies, projects that improve the living and health conditions of its inhabitants.
The Healthy Environments and Communities program in the 46 municipalities gives priority to the anticipatory approach and emphasizes its actions at the local level.
The staff also works with the certification of environments that can be:
- Parks, sports centers, plazas, town squares, esplanades and homes
For these premises there is an impact on the recovery of spaces, promotion of habits and actions in favor of healthy environments that also promote development of a better environment.
The head of the Gto Health System isnisted that health must have free, timely, respectful and unrestricted access to preventive and diagnostic medical services, treatments, medications, and humanitarian palliative care necessary during the last stage of life; all with quality, as well as maximum security in care.
