Guanajuato has a very clear sight on three goals: industry 4.0, Mindfacture and the reconfiguration of the automotive industry to electric cars, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, at the Inauguration of the company Le Bélier, with French and Chinese investment in San Miguel de Allende.
The Governor said that Guanajuato runs the risk of stagnation if it does not reinvent itself, so “Mindfacture, that is, generating wealth from knowledge, is a fundamental part of our philosophy in the next 30 years.”
“That’s why we want innovation to be part of our backbone, we don’t just want to build cars, we want to design new cars; we want companies like Le Bélier to bring their research and innovation centers to develop wealth from knowledge in Guanajuato”, said the Governor.
He added that this is why the arrival of UNAM in San Miguel is great news, because it reinforces higher education in our region, and San Miguel de Allende is going to become a point of reference in this matter.
“Guanajuato has a very clear goal on three things:
- Industry 4.0, which is automation, everything that is robotics
- Mindfacture, which is to generate wealth from knowledge, design, innovation; and
- The reconfiguration of our auto industry to electric cars
They have just announced in Europe the end of fossil fuel cars, after 2030, time is counting”, noted the Governor.
“If we don’t reconfigure our plants, they will go somewhere else,” he added.
Le Bélier, a company with history
Le Bélier, of French origin, is a global foundry group, specializing since 1961 in the manufacture of molded aluminum components, which participates in the reduction of CO2 emissions for the automotive and aeronautical markets.
It was acquired in 2020 by the Chinese company “Wencan Holding”. It has 3,600 employees worldwide, and 12 plants in three continents.
The arrival of this company is a project that was fully worked in the present State Administration. It is one of the companies that the governor, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, visited during his tour of Europe in 2021.
To this date, there are already 90 investment projects in Guanajuato since 2018.
In this State Administration, there has been an investment of 3 thousand 301.4 million dollars and 36 thousand 877 jobs.
France is the sixth commercial partner of Guanajuato, with 16 installed companies, and an accumulated investment of one thousand 528.03 million dollars, with 864 jobs committed.
