Guanajuatense women are benefitted with the program that trains them in technology and innovation

The training program for women in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies WOMENTEFACTURA 3.0 started in its third edition where 500 participants are added, this strategy already brings together 1 thousand Guanajuatense women.
The goal of Womentefactura is to strengthen women involved in science -STEAM- and technology -ICT- in Guanajuato to enhance their skills in Senior Business Management.
Juan Antonio Reus Montano, General Director of IDEA GTO, emphasized the strength that women represent for Guanajuato, and also noted the collaboration that IDEA GTO has with Catalonia in different aspects.
“Moving from Manufacture to Mindfacture is a public policy that puts training and innovation at the center, but above all the citizens, that is why Womentefactura emerges as a very strong impulse for the women of Guanajuato, since they are one of the greatest forces we have to develop our State in Technology, in STEAM areas, but above all in the design of the future we want”, said Reus.
In the first generation of Womentefactura, more than 70 women were registered and 30 entrepreneurs were recognized; they went through a process of 6 workshops, in which they invested more than 20 hours, they also had 30 personalized mentoring sessions.
The training also covers topics such as:
- Diagnosis of Needs, Strategies, Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Negotiation, Communication and Mentoring
By 2023, interest and participation multiplied with the registration of 450 Guanajuatense women in Womentefactura 2.0 and today another 500 women joined the program.
Eduardo Knapp, Director of Economic Development of Celaya, said that the municipality has sought to promote events for women, strengthening the areas of STEAM and ICT.
“The state government has placed a special interest in supporting and encouraging Mindfacture as a public policy that is putting Guanajuato in a prominent place nationally and internationally. The world continues to advance and this advance has to be with equality, that is why we seek to train women in the topics that put us in the high-level conversation”, said Knapp.
450 women enrolled in the program are receiving training in:
- Data Analytics with Excel
- Innovation 360
- Leadership at work
- Storytelling with data
This program has a 3-month AI Practitioner Course via WhatsApp, a 2-day remote Hackathon and one day in person, and online webinars every 2 weeks with industry experts.
