With Tinto Bajio, an event dedicated to wine, gastronomy, and local products, the Guanajuato ¡SiSabe! 2026 Gastronomic Season begins, an agenda that will bring together 40 events for more than 90 days in municipalities of the 7 tourist regions of the State.

Through the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, the People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, is promoting this season as a platform to open new paths to gastronomic tourism, strengthen the value chain and generate opportunities for producers, traditional cooks, chefs, restaurateurs, service providers and tourism communities.

The Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Maria Guadalupe Robles Leon, highlighted that starting this season with Tinto Bajio represents an opportunity to showcase the value of Guanajuatense wine, particularly the one that is originated in the Valley of Independence, as well as the culinary and productive richness that makes the State unique.

“What better way to start this season than with the wine from the Independence Valley, which represents land, talent, identity and a tourist vocation that continues to open new paths for Guanajuato,” said Robles.

The Guanajuato ¡Si Sabe! Gastronomic Season 2026 includes events related to wine, mezcal, craft beer, traditional cuisine, indigenous identity, contemporary cuisine and local products, aimed in decentralizing tourism, bringing visitors to more municipalities and generating economic benefits in the communities.

In 2025, Guanajuato received 23.8 million visitors, with a growth of 9% compared to the previous year, which confirms the State’s tourist vocation and its capacity to host events that activate hotels, restaurants, transport, commerce, services and more activities linked to tourism.

This momentum also allows Guanajuato to host national and international events, such as the Brussels World Competition , with an awards gala that will be held in San Miguel de Allende, showcasing the State’s winemaking work and opening new opportunities for tourism promotion.

With Tinto Bajio, Guanajuato opens a season to savor its identity, recognize the work of those who make up the tourism value chain and consolidate gastronomy as a reason to travel in the State.
