Canada de Negros hosts the 3rd Agave Fair and its Roots, the event presents exhibitors of Guanajuatense spirits, arts and crafts and music, besides activities for all ages

In a press conference, Mayor of Purisima del Rincon, Roberto Garcia Urbano presented the official program of the 3rd Edition of the Agave Fair and its Roots, which will be held on Sunday June 15th in the community of Canada de Negros.
This festival will gather more than 50 exhibitors with a great offer of products including Guanajuatense mezcal and tequila, traditional gastronomy, desserts, crafts and more, with the participation of local producers, of the municipality, of other regions of Guanajuato, as well as traditional cooks of Guanajuato.
Starting at 10am visitors will be able to enjoy cultural activities, presentation of artists, live music, mariachi and family experiences for all ages.
One of the great attractions will be special activities with the local Tequilera, where visitors will be able to know the process of production of the tequila, go around the warehouses where the tequila is aged in barrels, enjoy the architecture of the hacienda and more. The tour is free of charge.
The event has two stages:
- The Main Stage: Presenting cultural and music activities during the day
- The Secondary Stage: With equestrian shows and the main attraction
The Program in the Main Stage:
- 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Music
- 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Folk Dance – Culture House
- 12:45 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Folk Dance – Romita
- 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Coral singing workshop – Culture House
- 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. | Main event Ceremony
- 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. | Mariachi Juvenil 2000
Program in the Secondary Stage:
- 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Barrels and other charreria tricks (outer field)
- 7:00 p.m. | Main Presentation: Palomo music group
The Mayor of Purisima said that Purisima del Rincon has consolidated as a main destination with quality events in Guanajuato and the Los Altos region in Jalisco.
“We started this project three years ago; today it is an important event that we hope will attract 8,500 visitors. Besides, it will be an excellent opportunity to celebrate Father’s Day with the family”, said the Mayor of Purisima.
The Director of Tourism, Roberto Camargo, confirmed the commitment to hold events that directly benefit the local communities.
Camargo said that this edition of the Fair of the Agave and its Roots maintains the focus to be an inclusive event besides being free of plastic, aligned with the principles of sustainability as promoted by the Municipal Administration.
