The Government of the People is achieving the imposible

Libia Dennise presents to the people of Guanajuato the most important actions that have been carried out so far in the two years of her State Administration

“Two years ago, I made a commitment to lead a government close to the people. Today, after visiting all 46 of our municipalities, I am happy to walk alongside you. These have been two intense years of work; we have been able to make progress and face challenges for the benefit of the Guanajuatense families,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.

Leading the celebration of the People’s Government’s second anniversary, Libia Dennise expressed her joy for being in Salamanca: “To share this gathering with so many families. Thank you for joining us, for allowing us to celebrate these two years of the People’s Government together. I want to thank you for something that has meant a great deal to me: opening the doors of your communities and your homes to us; sharing your stories, your concerns, and your dreams.”

Listening to the people reminds us why we are here and what our responsibility is. Therefore, honoring the name “Government of the People” and the ten principles that guide our administration requires putting our commitments into practice, said Libia.

The Governor emphasized that “today I want to share with you what we have built together and what those results represent in the lives of our people.”

Libia Dennise said that 46 million breakfasts, lunches, and food packages have been distributed in the last two years.

The My Productive Family program has supported more than 19,700 households in producing their own food and, in some cases, selling it.

Through the Temporary Employment for the People program, more than 20,000 people have joined to work in rehabilitating streets, roads, gardens, and sports areas in the neighborhoods where they live.

Sixty New Beginning Centers have been built, expanded, and equipped, benefiting more than 315,000 people. There, people learn a trade, practice sports, and find spaces for culture, art, and health.

Through the Mobile Network, more than 79,000 change agents have been trained and over 78 million pesos have been allocated to community projects. These are individuals who identify the needs of their communities and participate in solutions related to training, self-employment, and community development.

Through the Guanajuato Senior Support program, run by DIF (the State’s family services agency), seniors received a 600-peso subsidy to purchase medications and basic hygiene, cleaning, and personal care products at ISSEG pharmacies.

“I want to speak to women with the same affection and commitment we have shared since day one. As Governor, as a woman, and as a mother, I know what it means to juggle many responsibilities and often put one’s own needs on hold,” said Libia.

That’s why the Women’s Secretary was created and Aliadas was launched, a strategy that brings together 27 programs in health, education, employment, training, and other areas of development.

This year, the Pink Card benefits 690,000 women; its importance also lies in the services it provides access to: medical and home assistance, legal advice, funeral support, and dental care, the Governor said.

Libia added that at the “You Can Guanajuato” Financial and Support Program, 70 percent of applicants are women. “The women of Guanajuato can count on their Governor to continue opening more opportunities, and we will continue supporting commerce,” said Libia.

Libia Dennise said that in the past two years, more than 2,845,000 items of support, including uniforms, backpacks, and school supplies, have been distributed. In addition, more than 38,400 students have received the New Beginning Scholarship.

High school enrollment grew by 20,000 students: more young people with a space to prepare themselves and achieve their dreams, she said.

The State Health System serves 3 million people without health insurance; here, health is what matters, the Governor emphasized, highlighting that Guanajuato is first in the nation in diabetes care, hypertension, and vaccination, and we have significant results in breastfeeding, maternal care, and mental health.

Libia Dennise said that this year, through the “Manos a la Obra” (Hands-on) program, 4 billion pesos were allocated to 386 projects across all 46 municipalities. This investment is fully funded by the State Government.

In these two years, the Governor said, 8,965 people in the countryside have received support in infrastructure, machinery, equipment, animals and technology.

And with Agua para Guanajuato, we are working to protect a resource essential for everyone.

Through Guanajuato Suma, the new economic policy, we want investment and growth to translate into better incomes and opportunities that reach more municipalities to take our State to the next level, in addition to promoting the Microcredit program, said the Governor.

The CONFIA strategy has strengthened prevention, intelligence, technology, and coordination of State and Federal Authorities to achieve better security results, said Libia Dennise.

The Governor highlighted that August ended with a 75.6 percent reduction in intentional homicides compared to February 2025.

“I know that peace is built every day, and have no doubt, in the next four years we are going to make Guanajuato that safe State for our daughters and sons,” she said.

“Governing means listening attentively and having the humility to recognize what we must do better. We have four years of work ahead of us. I will dedicate all my abilities to this, with the responsibility of safeguarding the progress we have made. Thank you for your trust and for allowing us to walk alongside you,” she said.

“As Governor, I am working every day to ensure that our daughters and sons live happily in this State, and the best years are yet to come for Guanajuato! Long live our people! Long live Guanajuato!” Libia Dennise emphasized.
