Governor delivers books and educational infrastructure in the General Secondary School No. 17 “Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz”

Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, delivered school books and education infrastructure at the General Secondary School No. 17 “Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz”, in the event that marked the kick off of the 2022-2023 school year for basic education in Guanajuato.
“Guanajuato calls the roll and we declare ourselves ready for a great return to school. The doors of all preschool, primary and secondary schools open their doors to receive students and teachers from all over the state”, said the Governor.
Back to school:
- 1 million 666 thousand 790 students
- 91 thousand teachers
- 7 million 174 thousand books delivered
- 100% have already been received in the regional delegations of the Secretary of Education
- They are for levels of preschool, primary, secondary and telesecundaria
- 3,657 public elementary schools in Guanajuato received school kits
- 620,000 elementary students were benefitted
- 103,000 sports outfits will be delivered
- 290 thousand sports shorts
“In Guanajuato we believe in education because it is the passport to a better future and it is the key that opens all the doors to development. For this reason, from the Government of the State we support education with everything and we will continue to do so, to promote the advancement and progress of the entire society,” said the Governor.
The State Secretary of Education, Jorge Enrique Hernandez Meza, said that with the Strategy Contigo Sí and as part of the commitments in the Social Pact for Education, the 2022-2023 school year presents great challenges that are faced from the school community and families together with the authorities to offer a quality education to children and youth.
“We are ready to start a new school year, society and government work together for the benefit of the academic training of the girls, boys and young people of Guanajuato,” said Hernandez Meza.
The Secretary of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility, José Tarcisio Rodríguez Martínez, said that this years in Guanajuato they will work on:
- 167 schools will be benefitted with investment in infrastructure
- 500 million pesos is the total investment
