Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, met with the head of the Secretary of Interior, Adan Augusto Lopez Hernandez, to guarantee coordination and joint work of the State and Federal governments.
“Secretary Adan Augusto is an ally of Guanajuato, he is the one who has opened the door for us on many issues. I have to recognize the Secretary because there is always a permanent dialogue and his visit is a sign of this openness”, said the Governor.
“I proposed to him, let’s have an open dialogue with the public and he said ‘yes immediately, that is valuable’. Here in Guanajuato we are respectful of the institutions, in Guanajuato the President of the Republic and the Secretary of the Interior are respected, but we also defend what we believe in”, said the Governor.

On security, the representative of the Federal Government also recognized the coordination and collaboration of the State and Municipal institutions and agencies with the Federation.
The supply of drinking water was another of the issues addressed, given the concern of the economic sectors in the State once the option of having water from the El Zapotillo dam was cancelled.
The State Government endorsed its willingness to carry out the Agua Sí Para Guanajuato project, which consists of using water from the Solis Dam and guaranteeing water for the next 50 years.
The Meeting with the Guanajuatense Society was attended by approximately 300 representatives from the various sectors of Guanajuato.
Among the sectors summoned to the meeting are all the mayors, local and federal deputies, as well as the senators representing the State of Guanajuato.
Representatives of the business, industrial, commercial, religious, educational, agro-food and union sectors, as well as members of the State Government cabinet, among others, were also summoned.
Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, Dean General of the University of Guanajuato and representative of higher level education institutions, also took the floor; Adriana Cortés, Director of the Bajio Community Foundation, representative of organized civil society; and Guadalupe Fabela Pimentel, a student at the University of La Salle Bajio.
