Special Proteins begins its export journey with the support of COFOCE and more than 35 years of experience and now, a new global stage

For more than three decades, Proteinas Especiales has been a leader in the production of powdered dairy products.
Founded in Apaseo el Alto, this 100% Guanajuatense company specializes in the production of powdered milk, yogurt, and creamers, as well as ice cream bases; these products are now beginning to cross borders thanks to the export push the company has received from the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (COFOCE) and the commitment of the People’s Government.
Proteinas Especiales has made a strategic shift towards internationalization, becoming a prominent case in the “Traditional Company that Transformed” category, one of the categories within the Export Change Your Life event, an initiative of COFOCE, that recognizes the export work of companies from different sectors.
With a plant able to produce up to one container every two days and equipped with cutting-edge technology, the company has proven its readiness to meet the demands of international markets, without neglecting the domestic market.
The link with COFOCE began in 2023, and since then, the company has received a series of strategic supports that have been fundamental for its foray into markets such as the United States and Cuba.
This support has not only enabled successful entry into foreign markets, but has also strengthened the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and compliance with international regulations.
With more than 54 jobs created in Guanajuato, Proteinas Especiales is an example of the potential that Guanajuato MSMEs have when they have institutional support and a vision for global growth.
Thanks to the vision of State Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo and COFOCE, initiatives like “Exporting Changes Your Life” continue to encourage Guanajuatense companies to cross borders, improve their processes, and transform their environment.
