More elements of the Mexican Army join the actions against organized crime in Guanajuato

“The Secretary of National Defense through the Commands of the XII Military Region and the 16th Military Zone, inform that as part of the Public Security and the zero impunity policy of the Federal Government, on January 12 of this year, 700 elements of the Mexican Army were deployed in the municipalities of Irapuato, Leon, Salamanca and Salvatierra, Gto., to inhibit the activities of the organized crime”, informs the Secretary of National Defensa –SEDENA- in a press release.
“This group joins the inter-institution operations already underway in coordination with local Authorities of the three levels of Government, to reverse the crime rates and the homicides linked to the organized crime”, it is informed in the press report.
The report of SEDENA informs that the elements have one specific goal as they arrive in Guanajuato.
“The principal mission of this staff is to strengthen the Rule of Law and collaborate with Authorities in arresting members of the organized crime, acting at all moments with full respect to human rights”, says the press report.
This is how SEDENA confirms the commitment of its activities to guarantee peace and security of Guanajuatensess.
“With these actions the Army, Air Force and National Guard, confirm the undeniable decision of the Federal Government to go on acting against organized crime, serving the needs of society; also, it corroborates its commitment to watch for and safeguard the well being of citizens, guaranteeing peace and security of Mexicans in the country”, establishes the press report.
