Students from the Abasolo Higher Technological Institute (ITESA) will be able to contribute to make it posible that more Guanajuatenses learn to read, write, or complete their primary and secondary education, through a collaboration agreement signed with the Institute of Literacy and Basic Education for Adults (INAEBA).

The agreement will allow university students to complete their social service as education advisors, accompanying people aged 15 and over who, due to various circumstances, did not have the opportunity to start or complete their basic education.

The collaboration, which both institutions have maintained since 2022, was formalized with the signing of the agreement by the head of the Office of the General Direction of INAEBA, Eusebio Vega Perez, and the head of the Office of the General Direction of ITESA, Briseida Anabel Magdaleno Gonzalez.

“Today we are not only signing a document, we are reaffirming a commitment to collaborate with people who, due to various circumstances, did not have the opportunity to learn to read and write or to complete their primary or secondary education,” said Eusebio Vega Perez.

Vega said that the participation of students will go beyond fulfilling an academic requirement, as they will have the opportunity to accompany adults in experiences as significant as writing their name for the first time or receiving a certificate of studies.

“We share the same goal: to strengthen education in the region, to strengthen education in Guanajuato,” said Briseida Anabel Magdaleno Gonzalez.
