Health helps the conservation of vaccines

Gto Health System offers a Cold Network for the conservation and application of vaccines to the service of the population

The Guanajuato Health System has a Cold and Vaccination Network for the distribution, conservation and application of vaccines.

This Network contributes to the correct implementation of the basic vaccination scheme in the 46 municipalities with adherence to patient safety guidelines for the administration of doses.

The Secretary of Health, Ligia Arce Padilla, reported that in addition to being a solid Network, it covers its conservation, management, transportation and distribution, which ensures the correct conditions, guaranteeing the immunogenicity of the biologicals.

With these characteristics, the Guanajuato Universal Vaccination Program has the capacity to offer safe and effective vaccines, and thus protect against Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD).

The GTO Health System has 18 cold rooms distributed in 8 health jurisdictions, all at the service of Guanajuatenses.

With a health license are:

• Celaya, Acambaro, Irapuato Torres Landa and Misiones, Penjamo; in Leon Floresta, CAISES, Trojes; San Francisco del Rincon and three in the central warehouse

In the process of obtaining the license are 5 more:

• Guanajuato City, Dolores Hidalgo, San Luis de la Paz, Silao and San Miguel de Allende

After the administration of one or more doses of a vaccine against a certain disease, the body is protected against it for specific periods or even for life.

This way vaccination is considered a positive and effective practice for the prevention of diseases and a key element in preventive medicine, which also includes self-care, lifestyle, control of chronic diseases and social and economic conditions of each person.
