The Governor visited the Livestock Expo 2024, which is held as part of the 2024 Edition of the Leon State Fair.
The Governor was with Mayor of Leon, Alejandra Gutierrez Campos and the President of the Board of Directors of the Leon Fair, David Novoa Toscano, the Governor said that this is one of the most important livestock exhibitions in the country and is achieved with effort and work of people committed to their sector.
“Never forget the livestock spirit, because that was the cause of this fair, livestock. I ask Secretary Paulo Banuelos for more support for the ranchers of Guanajuato, because Guanajuato is for the people of Guanajuato,” said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo welcomed more than 150 livestock farms from Guanajuato, Jalisco, Zacatecas, Michoacan, Queretaro, San Luis Potosi, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Veracruz, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon and Durango, which will participate in the Expo.
The goal is to provide livestock producers in the State with animals of different species such as cattle, sheep, goats and pigs, with a high genetic value. In addition, different species and breeds of these cattle will be exhibited and offered for sale.
The Governor also said he will support actions to enhance the beekeeping sector with the delivery of queen bees to improve the region’s apiaries and obtain greater honey production.
There will be an exhibition of more than 1,200 specimens of high genetic value, the visit of more than 3,000 producers from the state is expected, conferences, workshops and training regarding the livestock sector will be held, in addition to the State Meeting of Guanajuato Livestock Groups.
