Both cooperate in designing a Learning Model adapted to the education system of Guanajuato

Students of the Graduate School of Education of Harvard are working in the design of an Accelerated Learning Model as an alternative to reinforce the academic strategies and face the impact of the pandemic in the education system of Guanajuato.
Accelerating the Future
This Project is the result of a report titled “Accelerating the Future of Education in Guanajuato, Mexico: A Comparative Analysis of Policies”; it was completed in the special seminar organized by the University of Harvard within the Report on the Future of Education of UNESCO: “Reimagine Our Future Together” to examine the efforts ocurring in education all over the world and present ways to go forward in the vision to the Future.
A complete work
The seminar, presided by Doctor Fernando M. Reimers, profesor and education investigator at International Education of the University of Harvard, the seminar included the presence of secretaries of Education of Latin America, members of international organizations, scholars of international level, and heads of institutions among them the Ministry of Education of Uruguay; Ministry of Education of Ecuador; the Superior School of Economy; the Center for Human Assets in Nepal; UNESCO; Secretary of Education of Jalisco and Secretary of Education of Nuevo Leon.
For Guanajuato
The report is for the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato a document that will lead to the design of an Accelerated Learning Model adapted to the needs of the Education System of Guanajuato, and in turn it will generate a work plan that, in the first stage will include CONCUPRISE (Program of Curricular Achievment of Elementary and Secondary Schools) and the Training Program of Teachers of Basic Education.
Recover learning
In the second stage, the program includes a pilot program and then it will be adopted in full in basic education to strenghten the process to recover the learning of students of Guanajuato.
The program analyses the impact of the pandemic in education, it includes an analysis on the strategies of Guanajuato related to the document “Future of Education of UNESCO” and there will be a reflection on the theory of the action through the “Decalogue for the Reconstruction of Education”, adopted in Guanajuato since the International Forum held by the end of 2021.
All involved
The application of the Methodology was closely watched by a group of students of the University of Harvard, who with SEG held reunions with directors and administrative people, as well as interviews with principals and teachers of basic education and students who worked through interviews guided by the investigators.
Success stories
Jorge Enrique Hernandez Meza, Secretary of Education of Guanajuato said that the information collected from the investigation is a great opportunity to increase the possibilities and share succes stories and continue with the informed dialogue that is so necessary in this moment.
