“It is an honor to recognize the courage, professionalism and commitment of the members of the Municipal police; with their upright and ethical behavior they fulfill a great social commitment and make citizens trust in them”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor awarded recognitions to the best municipal police officers in the State of Guanajuato.
This is the first time that this distinction has been made to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of the performance of those who make up the Municipal Public Security Corps. The recognition was made by the Councils of Honor and Justice of each municipality.
“Thanks to police officers like you, the municipal security forces are becoming stronger every day, you are better and more effective in performing your work”.
“You are here, for your courage, for your time of service, for your example in sports or in social service, where you have stood out; and I make a very respectful mention of those who gave their lives in the line of duty, and who today receive post-mortem recognition,” said the Governor.
Faced with security needs, explained the Rodriguez Vallejo, in Guanajuato we work with the three levels of government to serve society, but we also work with the municipal police to offer a better job prospect.
In this State Administration, economic and material support was increased for the Municipal police of Guanajuato, you are the best paid Municipal Police in Mexico, and you have equipment, training and decent working conditions for the work of your elements.
This was possible with the Reform to the Law of the Public Security System of the State of Guanajuato in October 2018, which highlights the annual creation of the State Fund for the Strengthening of Municipal Public Security, with State resources in the Law of Budget Spending.
“Today the police profession has improved a lot in Guanajuato and this has led to more people joining this public service. Today the elements in corporations has increased by 18% in the five years of our government, in 2018 there were 7 thousand elements in the municipal police, today we can talk about 8 thousand 332 active elements,” said the Governor.
“I want you to know that you are not alone, you have the full support of the State Government and the support of the citizens, represented in the State Security Council, as well as in your own municipalities,” said the Governor.
