In support of Guanajuato migrants, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo delivered 97 financial aid packages to migrants as part of the assisted return plan, MigranTEQUIERO.

“There is much we can do for our Guanajuatense migrants. All our love, our respect, and above all, our committed work to continue working as a team, because migrants make our land great, they make Mexico and Guanajuato great,” said the Governor, who delivered 97 financial grants to migrants as part of the assisted return plan, MigranTEQUIERO.

Through the “Migrants Building Communities” and “Safe Path for Migrants” programs, more than 1.5 million pesos were provided to facilitate the reintegration and entrepreneurship of beneficiaries.
Of the grants, 43 were delivered in checks worth approximately 30,000 pesos each to deported migrants, enabling them to start a business that will allow them to rebuild their lives in Guanajuato.
Another 54 checks cover repatriation, transfer of remains, and documentation needs. The beneficiaries are from 22 municipalities in Guanajuato.

Miguel Hidalgo Market is renovated
In the heart of San Luis de la Paz, the Governor and municipal authorities handed over the renovation of Warehouse 1 of the Miguel Hidalgo Market, which had been destroyed by fire in 2023.
“This will be the merchants’ six-year term,” the Governor said.

With an investment of more than 7.5 million pesos, 600 square meters of infrastructure were restored so that 30 merchants can once again operate in safe, hygienic, and modern conditions.
In addition, the upcoming intervention of Warehouses 2 and 3 was announced, with funds already authorized for 3 million pesos, reaffirming the People’s Government’s commitment to local economic recovery and the strengthening of traditional commerce.

Decent streets in San Luis de la Paz
Governor Libia Garcia and Mayor of San Luis de la Paz, Ruben Urias Ruiz delivered the paving of four streets in neighborhoods of the municipality: Prolongacion Galeana, Frijol, Villa de las Flores, and Velasco, and Progreso Street in the town of Lourdes. This combined investment totaled 12.7 million pesos, of which more than 7 million were allocated by the People’ s Government.

These projects improve the mobility, safety, health, and quality of life of the more than 90 families who live there and of all the residents who travel daily through the rehabilitated areas.
“At the end of this administration, what I want to say is: how many lives we’ve changed with our work? That’s what matters to me: families being able to live better lives, and believe me, we’re putting all our effort into that,” said Libia Dennise.
