In the investment attraction tours the Governor also sows the seed to generate new projects for Guanajuato, for this reason, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, visited the Timken company.
Timken is a leading manufacturer of roller bearings and power transmission materials for the industry in general, including the automotive industry.
“In Guanajuato we are promoting a transition from manufacture to Mindfacture. And we also want to be the epicenter of Industry 4.0 in Mexico and Latin America. And on all these issues, I am sure that The Timken Company is a great ally of Guanajuato,” said Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo.
“The Timken Company and Guanajuato share a vision for the future and themes such as a passion for knowledge, science and technology; therefore, it is very important to get to know its Technology Center”, said the Governor, during the second day of activities of the working tour in the United States.
The Timken company is based in the city of North Canton, Ohio, one of the main industrial centers of the United States.
The company registered 4.1 billion dollars in sales in 2021 and employs more than 18 thousand people, operating in 43 countries.
Timken is in Latin America since 1944 and serves the region through offices and warehouses in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
It also has a presence in Guanajuato, a plant that is the only one in Latin America, its construction began in 2019, with an investment of 90 million dollars, it started production in December 2020, in San Jose Iturbide.
“Today we are expressing our interest in you expanding your investments in our State. We were very pleased to agree on topics such as innovation, mind-making and the development of renewable energies”, said the Governor.
“We want to consolidate this business relationship and continue exploring new possibilities. Thank you for the trust in Guanajuato”, said the Governor.
