“Each one of these boxes of these peppers that come out of here is part of this 30 billion dollar export figure. Each car that is exported, each boot that is made, each hat that is made in San Pancho, each pepper, each asparagus, each pepper that is harvested, packed and shipped in a trailer, is part of that number; so Guanajuato is a great State that exports and that gets up early every day to look for a better future”, said the Governor.

In the 70’s, he created a production process for fresh green asparagus out of season and from which the world consumer market was not used to being supplied.

In 1982, direct exports began with 150,000 boxes until today a sale of more than 1 million boxes and with a 2-year project to increase it to 2 million. This means covering 75% of the global market share for green summer asparagus.
