As the Council for the Metropolitan Development of the State of Guanajuato was installed, the State Administration completes the legal statutes for the operation rules of the Metropolitan Fund of the Federation.
As Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo headed the event, he said that Guanajuato is working to have access to more than 3 thousand 300 million pesos for infrastructure in the 7 metropolitan areas.
“This is a requirement we must meet, the Budget of Remittances of the Federation has three thousand three hundred million pesos. We must go for those resources, we have done it before”, he said.
Since 2008, said the Governor, we have invested more than 3 thousand 700 million pesos in Guanajuato from the Metropolitan Fund, an amount that has been used to build public works like the Eje Metropolitano Silao-Leon; the Treatment Plant San Jeronimo in San Francisco and Purisima del Rincon.
Bulevar Delta in Leon; the Parque Xochipilli in Celaya; boulevard Leovino Zavala in Uriangato; the South Parkway in Moroleon and the boulevard Timoteo Lozano in Leon, and other public works in Purisima del Rincon, San Francisco del Rincon and Silao.
“With the installation of this Metropolitan Commision we insist in our commitment with the sustainable development”, said the Governor.
The Secretary of the Environment and Territorial Order, Maria Isabel Ortiz Mantilla, said that the Metropolitan Fund are resources that are focused to programs and projects of infrastructure which are viable and sustainable that are destined to promote the correct planning of the regional development, the public transport and the non motorized mobility and order of the territory.
“As a State the most we can inherit to the following generations is the territory and we want it to be an ordained territory and one with a future, is the best inheritance we can leave to our children”, said Ortiz Mantilla.
