Representatives of the People’s Government made a visit to accompany Victor, a migrant originally from this municipality who recently returned to his community after a detention and deportation process from the United States, accompanied by his son.

During the visit, led in person by the Undersecretary for the Attention of Migrants and in the Context of Mobility, Susana Guerra Vallejo, of the Secretary of Human Rights, gave Victor a package of humanitarian aid to meet the immediate needs of his family.

In the visit, the process began for the family to receive comprehensive support from the MigranTe Quiero Strategy, promoted by Governor Libia Dennise, which is focused on providing support to Guanajuatense migrants and their families in matters of health, education, documentation and economic reintegration.

The official also spoke with Victor to learn firsthand about his interests in productive activities, and in this regard, they agreed on the necessary institutional support to transfer the construction industry tools he used in the United States, so that he can resume his trade in his home community.

“We are here in person in Santa Catarina to learn firsthand about the needs of Víctor and his family, and thus be able to provide them with comprehensive support as instructed by Governor Libia Dennise; today we delivered humanitarian aid and arranged for the relocation of his “Work tools so that he can continue his trade here in his homeland,” Guerra Vallejo said.

“We thank the municipality of Santa Catarina for their support in formally integrating the child into the school; and with the city council, we also agreed to provide follow-up medical and psychological care for the entire family, because our commitment is to ensure that this reintegration process is complete,” said the Official.

The Human Rights Secretary reiterated the commitment to continue closely monitoring the case, in coordination with Santa Catarina, to ensure that Víctor and his family have the necessary conditions for their full reintegration into their community.
