The Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the launching ceremony of the Guanajuato Contigo Si Centers.
“We want these Guanajuato Contigo Si Centers to be the heart of neighborhoods and communities. That they focus on issues such as income, education, health, sports, culture, innovation and Mindfacture”, said the Governor.
“This is how we respond with facts to the new reality, promoting economic and social reactivation. We want to promote the development of individuals, families and communities, based on the participation, commitment and self-improvement of people,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor stressed that the Guanajuato Contigo Si Centers are a meeting point for coexistence and social harmony. “They are a space to learn and to improve, to grow and move ahead”, he said.
There are many opportunities to be offered, for example, job opportunities through employment and recruitment stalls, as well as providing training so that people can create their own business, said the Governor.
The program will offer workshops and various courses of trades and crafts. Access to education, which includes not only the possibility of studying, but also educational regularization, innovation and Mindfacture through Productive Nodes, plus addiction prevention workshops.
Rodriguez Vallejo noted the signing of the agreement between the Ministry of Social and Human Development, and the Ministry of Education, whose purpose is for the Guanajuato Contigo Si Centers to be facilitators in the fight against school dropouts and education backlog, involving institutions such as INAEBA, UVEG and JUVENTUDESGTO.
The activities:
- INAEBA: Serves the adult education
- UVEG: The Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato with an innovative and flexible model, offers to study fully online
- JUVENTUDESGTO: Will be in charge of promoting innovation and Mindfacture in the young people who participate in these Centers
The Governor said that the new social strategy Guanajuato Contigo Si, is here to support and reach out to the people; to bet on talent and ability.
“For you to achieve your goals. We invite you to come closer. Come and check that we are with you. Contigo Si, is closeness and support. Contigo Si, is people helping people,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Secretary of Social and Human Development, J. Jesus Oviedo Herrera, said that there are currently 59 Contigo Si GTO Centers in operation, in 35 municipalities of Guanajuato where more than 33,000 people have been served so far through workshops, training courses and skills for work, professional services, training workshops and sports activities.
