“Guanajuato and Aguascalientes are twinned, which is why it is a source of pride to be the guest State at the 2023 San Marco National Fair”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor was at the press conference where the San Marcos National Fair, in Aguascalientes, was presented, in which Guanajuato is the guest of honor.
“This is an event of national and international relevance, so it is a pleasure to be able to show the historical, cultural and artistic wealth of Guanajuato,” said the Governor, who received the Governor of Aguascalientes, Maria Teresa Jimenez Esquivel; and the President of the Board of Organizers of the San Marcos National Fair, Jose Angel Gonzalez.
Rodriguez Vallejo highlighted that Guanajuato and Aguascalientes are united by “many things”, in addition to being neighboring States and being part of the Greater Bajio, States that are essential for the economic development and innovation of Mexico.
“Both States have common economic vocations, which strengthen us as a region, because more than competing, we create synergy and work as a team”, said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo noted the large number of visitors to the San Marcos Fair that make it one of the most consolidated popular festivals in the country with international relevance.
“For this reason, it is a distinction that they have considered Guanajuato as the guest of honor State for this 2023 edition. Be assured that the presence of Guanajuato will be up to an event like this. We are going to take advantage of all the spaces to show the greatness of our state”, said the Governor.
“We will bring to Aguascalientes a large exhibition of handicrafts and Guanajuato Brand products, a hallmark that is a guarantee of quality. Typical Sweets, Handicrafts, Tequilas, Mezcales, Wines, Leather Products, Footwear, Cheeses, Hats, among others. That they will represent the producers of the various municipalities of Guanajuato”, said the Rodriguez Vallejo.
They will also show the Guanajuato richness in historical and cultural heritage, said the Governor.
The 2 cities Cultural Heritage of Humanity (Guanajuato City and San Miguel de Allende). 6 magical towns (Dolores Hidalgo, Salvatierra, Yuriria, Mineral de Pozos, Jalpa de Canovas and Comonfort). 5 archaeological zones (Canada de la Virgen, Peralta, Plazuelas, El Coporo and Arroyo Seco), will also be presented.
